Course content
Module 1:
Intro & Laying the Foundations
In the first module we will do an introduction to yoga and the program, learn how to breathe properly in yoga, talk about how to begin a yoga session, and start to warm up the body. This week will lay the foundation for the rest of the program.
Module 2:
Sun Salutations
Sun Salutations are one of the most common types of sequences you’ll see in yoga. In this module, we will break them down, learn the poses that make up a Sun Salutation, and learn how to put them together and match movements with breathing.
Module 3:
Standing Poses & Core
In this module we will learn more standing yoga postures that can be added into Sun Salutations or done on their own. We’ll also learn how to strengthen the core, something that will help you immensely in yoga and any type of movement.
Module 4:
Balance, Backbends, & Inversions
Balance, backbends, and inversions, oh my. In this module, we’ll introduce these three things, start to test the balance, and play with getting upside down. This will be accessible to all levels and give options no matter where you’re at.
Module 5:
Stretching Poses
Now that the body is fully warmed up, we’ll start to work deeper into the muscles to go over poses that will stretch the body and increase flexibility.
Module 6:
Putting It All Together
We’ve made it! Now we get to learn how to close a practice and put everything together to practice yoga on your own at home or take your practice wherever you like with confidence. By the end you’ll have a full flow you’ll be able to practice on your own any time you like.

How long does it take to complete the program?
The course is designed to be done over a 6 week period, one for each module. That said, you can move at your own pace and are welcome to go a little faster or slower depending on your situation.

What props do I need?
This is up to personal preference, but a yoga mat will make your life easier if you have access to one. Some people find yoga blocks or other props to be useful while practicing, so these are welcome too, but not required.
I’m out of shape, can I do this?
Yes! I’ve designed this program specifically for beginners and I often offer modifications and variations while learning the poses. And you’re not expected to be able to nail all the poses right away - that’s why we call it a practice!
What about my other workout routine?
Yoga is one of the best things you can do for your body and complements other types of exercises well. You are welcome to continue other types of exercises during the program - just make sure to give yourself adequate rest.
